Byron Bay holiday letting

  • 2/11/09

The Local Government Association is requesting that the New South Wales Government and the Department of Planning provide a statewide policy on short-term holiday rentals in residential areas, or to allow local councils to implement local regulations in their LEP. This policy is needed to clarify the letting rules and to protect non-letting local residents from the impact of short term letting in the residential areas.

Great. yet another initiative forwarded by the most incompetent council & mayor Australia has ever seen. Lets all bow to the Byron Shire NIMBY's (who are always a sheer minority) at the expense of local business, jobs, lifestyle etc etc.

Seriously, how many abbreviated protest groups can one area have ????

I just started my own.

Its called STFU!!
