The Cape Byron Trust new management plan is considering providing tourist accommodation at the Pass. Other options include renovation of the existing cafe and mobile vendors. These upgrades would create an additional income for the Trust and extra facilities for visitors. Better traffic management, improved car parking, public toilets, vessel launching and picnic areas are part of this new management plan as well. The public is welcome to give their own input about this proposal until 18th December 2009. Copies of the documents and plans are available at the NPWS office at Byron Bay.
